June 6th SAT scores are in — two students just hit 750 RW
Hello MJTP families!
June score release day is here! The reports are coming in this morning, and I want to share the first two.
Alec wrote in:
"I jumped to a 750 on English and got an overall 1540 on the test. I think overall the English section was harder, but I think it worked to my advantage because I had been preparing a lot with your harder questions [The Gauntlet]... I am ecstatic about this score, and it takes so much pressure off of stressing for the August test regardless of if I take it again or not so I cannot thank you enough!"
Read that middle part again: the English section was harder, and that worked to his advantage. That's not luck. That's what happens when you train on questions tougher than the ones you'll see on test day. When the real test pivots to its hardest module, it feels familiar instead of frightening. Alec was ready because he'd already been training above it.
Ivy sent this — and I'll let the exclamation points speak for themselves:
"Yes!!!! I got a 750 in English and a 1530 overall!!"
Two students, two 750s on Reading & Writing, on a test that ran hard this June.
I'm proud of both of them, and I'm proud of all our students regardless of the score. The June cohort was already strong, with an average baseline of 670 (six seven...😱). Every point above that ceiling is extremely difficult to earn. Give yourself a pat on the back.
Please continue sharing your results, regardless of the outcome. Every test is new data, and August is right around the corner.
Enjoy your summer, and let's keep grinding!
