November 8th SAT Score Release + Thanksgiving Updates

November 8th SAT Score Release + Thanksgiving Updates

Dear MJTP families,

Today is SAT score release day, and I’d love to know how you did!
Please send over your scores when you have them.

The more visibility we have, the better we can:

  • Fine-tune each student’s game plan
  • Identify strengths and areas for growth
  • Adjust strategies for the December 6th SAT or March
  • Personalize homework and pacing for the next few weeks

Whether you’re celebrating a breakthrough or recalibrating for the next run, we’ll use this data to make smart decisions moving forward.

🎯
Congratulations to L.D. on her first ever SAT this November, scoring a 1360 with a verbal score of 710 and math 650. That's a full 190-point increase from her first practice test!

Thanksgiving Week Scheduling Updates

With the holiday approaching and some family travel on my end, all sessions for Thanksgiving week are being held on Monday and Tuesday of that week.

My wife and I will be traveling Sunday and again from Wednesday onward, so thank you all for your flexibility! I’ve already moved most of you into those two days, but if you still need to confirm your time or swap slots, just let me know.

December 6th SAT Is Just Around the Corner

It’s crunch time! The December SAT is approaching quickly, and many students are also juggling end-of-semester summative exams. That’s a lot on your plate—but it’s manageable with consistency.

One of the biggest mistakes students make this time of year is trying to cram SAT work around school obligations. As I always say:

The SAT is a performance sport.

A little bit of training each day is far more effective than one big push right before the test.

To stay sharp, I recommend brief, focused practice sessions daily or every other day. Continue applying the processes we cover in lessons:

  • ISEE structure for reading
  • PROVE-IT elimination patterns
  • Vertical Scan for grammar
  • SPOTr Method for verbs
  • Our transitions, punctuation, and evidence-based strategies

These techniques only become automatic through consistent repetition.
