🎯 June 7th SAT Scores Are In — Huge Wins, Real Progress, and What’s Next

MJPT families:
Today’s the big day — June SAT scores are out! I’ve already heard from many of my students, and as always, reactions run the full emotional spectrum. Some are elated, others a bit disappointed, and many land somewhere in between. But here’s what I can confidently say: overall, the curve was favorable, and hard work paid off.
He’s not alone — many of you have made meaningful jumps. Some moved their math scores to new highs, increasing overall superscores, while others fine-tuned their verbal scores from already impressive levels (like Mason, who turned his 750 verbal from May into a 760, or Camper, who increased her superscore with a nice math boost).
There is no doubt that this was a challenging verbal section, and not everyone achieved the gains they had hoped for.
If that’s you, I want you to hear this: your effort still matters, and the road isn’t over.
Why Mr. John’s Test Prep Is Different
I know you have choices when it comes to SAT prep. What sets us apart isn’t just results — it’s the coaching, consistency, and individual attention. I’m not a big-box company with a rotating cast of tutors. I’m a full-time teacher and a coach who works directly with each student, guiding them through the mental, strategic, and emotional ups and downs of the SAT journey.
I don't make empty promises, and I share my results, even if they don't turn out the way we want them to.
I recently received this review from Rick, a student’s father, that really captured what I strive to do:
“Mr. John has been one of the most impactful teachers our son has had. His dedication to helping our son reach his SAT goals in reading & writing went far beyond simply teaching the material. John worked tirelessly to ensure our son not only understood the content, but also mastered his strategies and the mindset he needed to execute on test day. What truly sets John apart is his commitment to the student. He held our son accountable, challenged him with the extra homework and practice tests, and consistently encouraged him to take ownership of his progress. John's high expectations were always paired with genuine support, and the confidence in our son’s ability to meet his goals on the SAT. John also went above and beyond to accommodate our son’s demanding schedule—often adjusting his own availability to make it work. His flexibility, professionalism, and care did not go unnoticed. We’re incredibly grateful for the role John has played in our son’s academic journey, and we would enthusiastically recommend him to any family seeking a tutor."

In the high-stakes world of college test prep and admissions, I don't take lightly the sacrifice that parents and students make to increase their chances at a dream college. It is an honor to be a part of that process. It is a team effort, and I'm grateful to the families who make it.
